High Yielding Dividend REITs in July 2024

Are you wondering what are the high yielding dividend REITs in July 2024? REITs stand for Real Estate Investment Trusts, and they allow investors like me to invest in real estate without directly owning properties. As REITs pay out dividends, investing in REITs is a great way to build up your passive income.

In 2023, I collected a total passive income of more than $16K. Even though I also invest in Singapore Savings Bond and Treasury Bills (T-Bills), majority of my passive income comes from the dividends paid out by REITs in my stock portfolio. High quality REITs are those that constantly pay you dividends and are able to grow their Distribution Per Unit (DPU) year-on-year.

Last week, US inflation data hinted that the Federal Reserve is on track to cut interest rates in September. The annual inflation rate in the US unexpectedly slowed to 3.3% in May 2024, the lowest in three months. Core inflation also slowed to 3.4% annually, the lowest rate since April 2021 and below consensus of 3.5%. In my opinion, the share price of Singapore REITs will rally once the Federal Reserve announced the rate cuts in September.

With just 2 months away from September, I will want to accumulate more REITs in my stock portfolio to take opportunity of that possible upcoming rally.

How to Find High Dividend Yielding REITs in Singapore?

There are many stock screening tools out there. As such, it is not difficult to obtain an initial list of REITs and their metrics such as current dividend yield for further analyse and decision making. Stock Screening tools allow you to screen REITs based on specific factors like P/E ratio, dividend yield, and other financial metrics.
