UOB Stash Account Interest Rate Revision November 2026

The UOB Stash Account interest rate revision that takes effect on 1 November 2026 is good news for savers. UOB is raising the bonus interest on all three bonus tiers, which lifts the maximum yearly interest on S$100,000 from S$1,500 to S$1,920, according to UOB’s official notice. The qualifying criteria stay the same, so you do not need to change anything to benefit.

What Changed in the UOB Stash Account Interest Rate Revision

In its official notice to customers, UOB confirmed that the revised rates apply with effect from 1 November 2026. The base interest stays at 0.05% p.a., while the bonus interest is increased on each of the three bonus tiers. The first S$10,000 and any balance above S$100,000 continue to earn only the 0.05% base rate.

Balance TierPrevious Total Interest (p.a.)Revised Total Interest From 1 November 2026 (p.a.)Change
First S$10,0000.05%0.05%No change
Next S$30,0001.40%1.50%+0.10%
Next S$30,0001.60%1.90%+0.30%
Next S$30,0002.00%3.00%+1.00%
Above S$100,0000.05%0.05%No change

Behind those totals, the bonus interest in this UOB Stash Account interest rate revision moves from 1.35%, 1.55%, and 1.95% to 1.45%, 1.85%, and 2.95%, with the 0.05% base interest added on top. The biggest winner is the last tier, which covers the part of your balance between S$70,000 and S$100,000.

How Much Interest You Earn After the UOB Stash Account Interest Rate Revision

Because the tiers are layered, you earn each rate only on the slice of your balance that falls in that band. Using UOB’s tier table, here is what the revision means at three balance levels, including the 0.05% base interest on the first S$10,000:

Monthly Average BalanceYearly Interest BeforeYearly Interest AfterIncrease
S$40,000S$425S$455S$30
S$70,000S$905S$1,025S$120
S$100,000S$1,505S$1,925S$420

UOB quotes the maximum as S$1,920 a year on S$100,000, equal to a 1.92% effective interest rate, up from 1.50% (S$1,500). That headline figure appears to leave out the S$5 of base interest on the first S$10,000, which is why my table shows S$1,925 and S$1,505. Either way, the improvement is S$420 a year on a S$100,000 balance, an increase of about 28%.

If your balance sits below S$70,000, this UOB Stash Account interest rate revision helps much less, since you never reach the 3.00% tier.

How to Qualify for the Bonus Interest

Under this UOB Stash Account interest rate revision, the qualifying criteria are unchanged. To earn bonus interest in a given month, your Monthly Average Balance (MAB) must be equal to or higher than your MAB in the previous month. UOB calculates the MAB by adding up each day-end balance for the month and dividing by the number of calendar days in that month.

Base interest is calculated on each day-end balance, while bonus interest is calculated on the MAB and paid on up to S$100,000. The simplest way to avoid missing out is to check the UOB TMRW app, which shows the top-up amount and the balance you need to maintain for the month. The revised maximum rate of 1.92% p.a. only applies if you meet this condition, so a month where your average balance dips below the previous month can cost you the bonus.

How This Revision Compares With Earlier Changes

This UOB Stash Account interest rate revision is the first increase in the series of changes I have tracked, following cuts in July 2025 and December 2025.

Effective DateBonus Tiers (Total p.a.)Maximum Yearly Interest on S$100,000
Before 1 July 20252.00%, 3.00%, 5.00%About S$3,000
From 1 July 20251.60%, 2.20%, 3.00%S$2,040
From 1 December 20251.40%, 1.60%, 2.00%S$1,500
From 1 November 20261.50%, 1.90%, 3.00%S$1,920

The top tier returns to 3.00%, the same level as after the July 2025 cut, although the two tiers below it remain lower than they were then. The yearly figures follow UOB’s headline method and exclude the S$5 base interest on the first S$10,000. For the details of the earlier changes, see my posts on the July 2025 revision and the December 2025 revision.

Is the UOB Stash Account Worth It After the Revision

For me, the UOB Stash Account interest rate revision makes the account more attractive for anyone who can keep close to S$100,000 in it. The 1.92% maximum edges past the 1.90% maximum effective rate UOB advertises for its UOB One Account, and the Stash Account does not require card spend or salary crediting. The catch is the monthly condition: you need to at least maintain your balance from one month to the next.

Fixed deposits can pay a little more on paper, with this month’s best rates reaching roughly 2.00% to 2.10% p.a. for specific tiers and tenures, as covered in my October 2026 fixed deposit roundup. However, they lock your money in, while the Stash Account has no lock-in period. For a wider comparison, see my Best Savings Account in Singapore guide.
