Financial Goals Progress May 2021

Long Term Financial Goal Progress for May 2021

Above is the progress of me reaching my targeted financial goals for May 2021. As you can see from the chart, the total value of my financial assets have fell slightly by 0.38% from April.

The slight decline was due to the retreat of the stock market in May which resulted in the decrease of my stock portfolio overall value.

What does my financial assets comprise of? The total value of my financial assets comprised of the following:

Singapore Savings Bonds

In May, I have collected the following interest payout from the Singapore Savings Bonds I have bought every month over the years. The payout is sufficient for a daily cup of coffee throughout the month.

  • November 2019 (GX19110F)
  • May 2019 (GX19050A)
  • November 2018 (GX18110Z)
  • May 2018 (GX18050E)

The effective interest rate of this month’s issue of Singapore Savings Bond (SBJUN21) is giving 1.61% per annum. Readers who wanted safe haven or place for emergency funds should consider.

Dividends

In May, I have collected dividend payout from ST Engineering, SPH REIT, Delfi and ComfortDelgro.

I wanted to progressively add more of Delfi into my stock portfolio but unfortunately, the share price has rosen.

Forex

In May, the Return On Investment (“ROI”) was 18.04%. This was a slight decline of 0.38% as compared to ROI of 18.42% in April.

Summary of Financial Goals Progress May 2021

As you can see above, I have not considered Cryptocurrency as part of my financial assets yet. My investment in Crypto was very little as I did not like the volatility of Crypto.

Nevertheless, I still enjoy receiving free Dodge coins and other coins from Supercharger through staking.

Dividend from stocks still makes up a majority of my passive income. The current COVID-19 situation has really made the stock market unpredictable. Even though there was a recent community outbreak again in Singapore, this did not cause the stock market to crash unlike last year.

Well, in the meantime, I shall keep calm and continue to collect dividends while waiting for the next crash to accumulate more dividend stocks.

That is all for my updates on my progress of reaching my Financial Goals!
