Financial Goals Progress For August 2024

Long Term Financial Goal Progress for August 2024

With just 4 more months to end the year 2024, here I am reporting on my Financial Goals Progress for August 2024. The total value of my financial assets increased from 79.02% in July to 80.20% in August. The increase was largely attributed to the growth in total value of my stock portfolio. The news on the possibility of announcement of Fed rate cuts at Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium has a positive impact on the stock market. I observed that US stocks rallied and share prices of Singapore REITs went up as well.

The tougher work environment and unreasonable requests from bosses reaffirmed my financial goal to stash sufficient money (target) which can help me to retire early in Singapore. What does retirement look like for people of different walks of life? I found this video where different people shared their views on Retirement. You can find the link below.

Updates to My Stock Portfolio in August 2024

My US Stock Portfolio August 2024

In August, I added AMD (NASDAQ:AMD) to my US stock portfolio. I have been watching AMD for a long time and decided to take the plunge earlier this month. Coincidently, the share prices of Artificial Intelligence (AI) rallied and further take the value of my stock portfolio to greater heights.

My Stock Portfolio (July 2024)

In August, there are no changes to my Singapore stock portfolio. I have received the dividend payouts from Singtel, OCBC Bank, UOB Bank, Sheng Siong and ParkwayLife REIT. Mentioning Sheng Siong, I am looking to accumulate because of the positive prospects. I am looking to more payouts from the rest of my Singapore REITs in September.

Last but not least, I have written a post to share what metrics to look out for when evaluating REITs. I hope this is useful to you. 6 Terms to Know As A REIT Investor
