Financial Goals For March 2024

Long Term Financial Goal Progress for March 2024

We are reaching the end of March 2024 and this is the time where I check on the progress of reaching my Financial Goals. If you wonder what are Financial Goals? Financial Goals are targets set by individuals (like me) to achieve specific monetary milestones or plans within a certain time frame.

These objectives help shape financial decisions and guide actions toward a more secure financial future. Everyone can have different Financial Goals. My Financial Goal is to stash sufficient money to retire early in Singapore.

In March 2024, the total value of my financial assets grew from 73.95% to 75.30%. The growth was attributed to the increase in value of my stock investments and cash balances due to dividend payout from various REITs.

The value of my stock investments continued to climb. I am not sure if this is attributed to the positive news that stimulated the stock market. Earlier this month, the Fed shared that they are on track for three interest rate cuts this year. Based on the speculative news, the Fed could start cutting interest rates in June.

This month, my Singapore Stock Portfolio remained unchanged as I could not find a good trade to buy. Reaping the rewards from my dividend stock portfolio, I collected the dividend payout from ParkwayLife REIT, Keppel DC REIT, Mapletree PanAsia Commercial Trust, Mapletree Logistics Trust and Paragon REIT. As a result, my cash position had increased.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) related stocks continue to trend higher. NVIDIA introduced the “world most powerful chip” for AI which is the Blackwell B200 GPU. Other chip related stocks such as TSM (Taiwan Semiconductor) and AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) did not perform so well. Having said that, these are 2 stocks that I will love to add to my US stock portfolio.

That is all my updates. See you next month!

  1. Hi, congrats ! So you are hitting 1.4% per month. From the looks of things – hit 100% by next year ? Maybe earlier say this year with bonus etc ? How long was this journey ?
